TL;DR i got scammed for 800 euros

In February 2026, I was urgently looking for accommodation in Martinique. Under pressure to find somewhere quickly, I responded to what seemed like a legitimate Facebook rental listing - and I let that desperation cloud my judgment. What followed was five days of calculated manipulation by a coordinated group who specifically target people in that situation. I transferred EUR 800 across four payments, genuinely believing I was about to sign a lease and collect the keys.
